Check out the new Payless Shoes commercial. Very cool. I'm so happy for them. and they recorded a theme song for a new reality-type show on MTV.

gah, I hate feelin so blah. Definately feel better than last night but still not 100%, and I missed all my classes today. I really can't afford to but I needed to. Some fresh air definately did me good, as did a shower. So I guess I will get some laundry done, since I see nothing else getting done today. I just wanna be better for this weekend. I guess this is what I get for getting all worked up about a stupid show and cute boys. But nothing will tear me apart from this weekend even if I have to be on drugs for the next couple of days. Ah, sometimes drugs are good.

Rescue the Band!

I found my new favorite store. In downtown Greenville, of all places. This clothing store, Moxie, is one of a kind. When you step into the store, it is like you step into a whole other city. It feels more like downtown Wilmington or another artsy town. Their dressing rooms have drawback heavy drapes for the doors, and they have a couch. The store also has a dog & cat that roam the store. While I was trying on a few things, the cat pops in from under the curtain. ha. and the clothes are too cute, and definately made me feel a little poor. I got a cute jacket on clearance, and I definately want to go back to try on a few of the dresses. Not sure what I'd wear them to, but it is nice to have one. ha. Oh yea, and one of the buttons fell off the jacket when I was trying it on, and the girl sewed back on right before I checked out, and was quick too. Nice service. I kind of felt like a celebrity; they would take the clothes that you wanted to try on and put them in the fitting room for you while you still looked around.

I am in need of excitement. My life right now consists of school, student union, school, student union. The most excitement I get is seeing a new movie each week at where else, Mendenhall. I am stuck in a rut, and I don't like it. I want something unexpected to happen. Maybe next weekend will hold something special for me, or maybe it will just be another little disappointment. I think I just miss going to concerts regularly. I could always get lost in the music, and I would always have great company. I don't have that company. If I had Athenaeum, the one band that I used to be able to count on to be there, I think my life would be better. When they had a show, it always took me back to a good place. They always used to seem to lift me up, even if I wasn't having a good day, I went to their show and always seemed to enjoy myself. Now, I don't have them to rely on to have a show every couple of months. I don't really have ONE band like that that I can count on anymore. It used to be justincase. and then it was Honestly. Who can fill that void now? I think I've learned not to fill that void because you just get disappointed. Just when I thought Honestly would be there, poof. They break up.



P.S. How is this guy 16?!
P.P.S. Anyone have the iLife cd that I can borrow? I need iphoto badly.

Okay, so I did the math today to see how much money I have left of the budget, and even if I get Adam Brody's band for the end of April...I still have a lot for openers. I think I honestly could have Co-Headliners. That's crazy. This is a good problem to have... other committees were telling me to give them some money, ha! I'm just gonna have to go all out and get lots of cool giveaways :)

Figure Skating was pretty good last night. GO USA! I can't wait till tomorrow night. I definately will not be looking on the website to find out the results before it airs this time. I did that yesterday, and found out Sasha Cohen was in 1st place.

Of what I saw of American Idol, it sucked. I think I will watch at least some of the guys tonight. I think they are better from what I've heard Randy Jackson say in interviews.

My 2 afternoon classes tomorrow were cancelled.
and with no Friday classes... What to do with myself...

Today, I broke a 100 in bowling for the first time with a 102.
Not only that, but I also got THREE strikes in ONE game.
But it wasn't all together, so it wasn't a Turkey.
Yes, I now know bowling terminology.

OKay...

I figured out how to put a password on our wireless connection.

and I don't know how I did it. but I figured out this wireless range extender.
all that matters is that I have internet in my room.
and now I'm hungry again.

This totally sucks. The wireless range on our internet is frickin' weak. Or something. Because my computer, eventhough the operating system is upgraded to 10.3.9, it still doesn't like to pick it up past the hallway. I would love to sit in the living room or even MY ROOM and be on the internet...and NOT use an ethernet cord. I want to experience wireless like everyone else. I don't know what to do. I am completely dumbfounded.

But I can sit down and actually make a Mix again. I have several to make.

Oh yea, does someone have an iLife cd that I can borrow? They so did not put iPhoto back on my computer. grrr. If not, I can try and download it.

I am reunited with FREDDIE. Yes, that is my "new" computer's name. This is kinda cool because it is like I have a new computer. I have Safari now. Eventhough I want Firefox. and my Wireless works. Right now, I am sitting in my sister's living room. :)

I went home to get my car this afternoon, and SURPRISE! I had a package on my dresser. All decked out in glitter. :) and not just one of the best Mixes... but she got me a copy of Mike G's live dvd/cd!

I had an awesome time watching the Vocal Band.
Yes, Band. One guy does all the drum sounds with his mouth.
and another does all of the bass lines.
Then there is one singing baritone, and the other tenor.
They sang a little bit of everything... country, pop, rock, RAP, and a couple of originals.
and they ended with QUEEN "Fat Bottomed Girls". Oh yes.
The people in attendence thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'm really really glad.
A lot of people bought their cd, so I was happy that it was a hit with who was there.
Another show of mine that ran really smoothly. That doesn't happen a whole lot. :)
and then afterwards was dinner at Applebees. I think that was the most expensive check that I have ever paid. I definately can't wait to get that reimbursment check back. But I think I will give that to my mama. or perhaps just buy her a late bday present.


Well, I'm off.
I'm seeing WALK THE LINE tomorrow I think. That comes out on dvd on Feb 28 (someone's birthday too ;) and Friday, my computer and I will be reunited. yess.

March 3 - I think I'm traveling to Norfolk to see LOCKSLEY. eeeee!

Oh yes, for you guys at WINTHROP and CLEMSON - go see the Late Night Players perform at your schools. They will be there next week, I believe. Check their website www.latenightplayers.com. It's Sketch Comedy and they call it "a Smarter SNL" and they are too cute for words, if you like some Jewish boys ;)

Even though I think this holiday is pretty silly since you are supposed to be telling those that you love how special they are to you every day. Not just this one day. Make every day Valentines day. Don't give into the greeting card/chocolate/flower companies.

My computer is waiting for me at the Durham Apple store.
Too bad that I don't have any time to pick it up until Friday.
So that is when we shall be reunited.

I need to get something to eat, chill, and then go to the computer lab.

oh yes, my day was made when I got a FREE Totebag from Raining Jane, and a real copy of their cd. Flippin' Sweet!

I've met the Black Bruce Springsteen & Paul McCartney tonight. ha!

I walk into the room with the food looking for some of the guys that were performing tonight. It's hard to keep track of all these guys, so I ask who these guys were. A common question, right? This tall skinny black guy that looks like he definately smokes some weed answers.. "Well, I'm Bruce Springsteen [and pointing to the other black guy with dreads] and this is Paul McCartney." I guess I only find it funny because he used those musicians... he could have used famous rappers, but no, he used Paul & Bruce.

right now, I'm waiting for the show to be over.
and Moorey just called me from Mike's show...awwww!

My Powerbook is being sent off to get a new CD-ROM. It's getting reincarnated. At least it will be upgraded. Well, not upgraded to Tiger, because they want you to buy that, but it will be upgraded with 10.3.7. That's a major step forward. So a little more than a week, and I should have it back. *sigh*
